London Design and Contemporary Art Research

In July 2010, Oogie Art students embarked on an exciting journey to London as part of the Art Research Program. This immersive experience aimed to expose students to the world of London design, contemporary art, and the influential Young British Artists (YBA). During their stay, students visited prestigious institutions such as the Royal Academy of Arts, the National Portrait Gallery, and the British Museum, gaining insights into art history and modern design. They also explored the cutting-edge exhibitions at the Design Museum, Saatchi Gallery, Whitechapel Art Gallery, and South Bank Centre, as well as the architectural wonders of Norman Foster.

In addition to their time in London, students ventured out to Wiltshire and Bath to experience the rich cultural and artistic heritage of the UK. This program offered a comprehensive understanding of contemporary art and design, while fostering leadership skills through artistic exploration and global exposure.
