Teaching Art, Launching Art Program &
Visiting the Gaba Orphanage
In 2014, Oogie Art students have been making a profound impact on the lives of African children each summer. We traveled to Uganda during Ebola time to empower and inspire through art at the Kasangula School in the Mityana district. We are not only teach art but also help launch sustainable art programs and support 3 students with full one-year scholarships. Additionally, they collaborate on vibrant mural projects with both Kasangula and Oogie Art students.
We also visit the Gaba Orphanage Home at Bethany Children’s Village, located 40km from Uganda’s capital, Kampala, to provide essential art supplies and small donations that support the children’s artistic growth.
These efforts are part of our commitment to fostering leadership through art, teaching our students that their creative skills can build communities and instigate positive social change. By engaging in these initiatives, our students gain a deep appreciation for how art transcends cultural and geographical boundaries, enriching lives across the globe.
