Teaching Art
Oogie Art took a trip to Berlin, Germany this summer to help provide art workshops for refugee children, in partnership with Pass the Crayon. Students led a 3-day workshop with children in personalizing and decorating T-shirts and bags, engaging in creativity and leadership roles with the local students. Students also took a tour with Refugee Voices to learn about the experience of Syrian refugees, the war in Syria, and how it links to Berlin’s history during World War II. Oogie Art also donated many supplies and books to help Pass the Crayon provide more art opportunities for the children.
