The Summer Weekly Art Program gives students the flexibility to choose between online, in-person studio, or a hybrid class. Missed classes can be made up before the end of the summer semester. This program maintains a focused and in-depth curriculum while allowing students to select morning or afternoon sessions based on their availability. The goal is to build foundational skills and create high-quality pieces.
The online program mirrors the in-person version, allowing students from anywhere in the world to attend. They receive personalized feedback through virtual critiques, focusing on developing technical skills and art portfolio ready for college.
Many students from different regions join the online option, benefiting from saved commuting time while receiving the same level of instruction. Both parents and students have found that the progress between Oogie Art's in-person and online teaching methods is equivalent.
Each student’s curriculum is tailored to their college goals, and those who enroll for 10 weeks or more can complete their entire portfolio in preparation for art college applications. For students who have been working with Oogie Art over an extended period, rising 12th graders are expected to finish their portfolios by the end of the summer semester, ensuring they are fully prepared for the college application process.
