What You Will Learn
This course is for high school students with strong art backgrounds who are new to UX, are considering majoring in UX/HCI, or are curious about UX and product design.

Through stories, real-world examples, and practical exercises, students will:

  • Learn what UX is and why it matters

  • Explore career paths in UX and related fields

  • Discover how creativity, psychology, and storytelling can lead to UX

  • Understand how AI is shaping the future of user experience

  • Learn about skills, tools, and college programs related to UX

Week 1
- What Makes a Great User Experience?
Elements of good UX, case studies of bad design, and improving real products.

Week 2 – The Psychology of UX
How human behavior and decision-making impact design, with examples from popular apps.

Week 3 – From UX to Product Innovation
How UX drives innovation in tech and how design thinking solves real problems.

Week 4 – Breaking Into UX
Study paths, portfolio tips, and how to get started even before college.

Week 5 – Designing for AI
How UX works with AI, how to design for trust, and how designers use AI tools.

Week 6 – A Day in the Life of a UX Designer
Types of UX roles, daily tasks, and career paths across industries.

Week 7 – Inside a Tech Company
How designers, engineers, and business teams work together to launch products.
